Help, all my shortcuts and my start menu are missing from my laptop!?

I have a lot of junk on m laptop so I went through deleting some stuff and I saw something called 7.Zip and I didn't recognize it so I deleted it. After that all my shortcuts and my start menu disappeared. No I know all my apps (like Chrome and Word and Skype) are all on there because I can still access them if they pop up but I cant search for them because my start menus missing and I can't restore system preferences because I can't get to control panel.Help, all my shortcuts and my start menu are missing from my laptop!?
You could try shutting it down and when you start it up press F8 repeatedly until you get a screen with the option to boot to the Last Known Good Configuration. Try this first and see if it makes a difference...

How to fix Installous problems on itunes?

I was watching a movie on my Laptop (Pavilion DV4) yesteday.When all of a sudden my comouter overheated and shut down. So i restarted my PC and logged into my account and saw that everything on my desktop screen had been deleted and all the apps (google chrome, itunes and other apps i installed) had been either removed or contents if that app had been deleted.



How ever when i went to C:\Users\Owner i could see the files of my desktop and other my documents files in that (owner) folder but could not view them in my desktop screen.



NOw lets get to the actual problem, So i decided to make a new user account and installed all the apps again. After installing itunes i coppied all the files from C:\Users\Owner to my new user account and then connected my iphone to my itunes account.



As my iphone 4 (ios 4.1) is jailbroken i have many installous apps on it. On that very same day i also updated my installous to version 3.6 and downloaded 1 new app called camrocorder. PS I also have appSync 4.1 on my phone. Now the problem is whenever i install new apps on my phone using installous, itunes automatically removes those apps whenever i sync my phone . PLS HELP ME SOLVE THIS PROBLEM.

You have to go to itunes, file, and then "Transfer purchases from ipod".

You could simply create folders : Internet (Internet explorer, Google Chrome, etc), games, photo editing, etc. Or you can arrange them in different places on your desktop (the internet icons in the right corner / upper side)I want to arrange my icons on my desktop according to their task..?

Right Click on desktop =%26gt; View =%26gt; Uncheck Auto Arrange Icons.

Then simply Drag and Drop icons wherever you want to put them on desktop, and they will remain there forever unless you change setting.

How can i fix my facebook?

my facebook apps, notifications and chat box are all showing up above the page and cluttered on the left side, instead of at the bottom where they usually are. i cant talk to people cause when a chat window is open its halfway off the screen. This only does it when oppened in google chrome, how do i fix this?How can i fix my facebook?

My MacBook Pro is acting very slow, it won't open internet apps, and will freeze and lag constantly.?

So I bought a 13 inch Macbook Pro last January and it has been working fine for the most part. That is until this morning when I turned it on and it took more than 2 minutes to show the desktop. First it stayed a minute on the white screen with the Apple logo, then the blue screen stayed there for another minute, and then the items took about 30 seconds to appear once it got to the desktop. My desktop background was also replaced with the default space one. Anyway now it takes forever to open or quit any application(EVEN FINDE!R), and whenever I try to open any of my internet browsers(Safari, Firefox,Chrome) the window won't show up and I have no choice other than to Force Quit. The computer will also flat out freezes if I do simple things like clicking an item or a folder app.



I already ran the Disk Utility application hoping I could Repair the drive but the application told everything seemed Ok with my hard drive and didn't let me do anything else.



I would like to know if anyone knows any other ways of possibly reparing my computer without resorting to going to Apple.My MacBook Pro is acting very slow, it won't open internet apps, and will freeze and lag constantly.?
