Help with google chrome?

whenever I open a new tab in Chrome, It brings up a page telling me about apps and it also displays my most visited sites and recently closed pages. I want to get rid of this, is there a way to be more discreet using Chrome?Help with google chrome?
there really isn't a way to fix it, but you can get it to settings:

1.) click on the wrench icon on the side bar

2.) click on *options*

3.) click on "Basics"

4.) pick whether open the homepage, reopen pages that were open last, or open following pages.

Just click the "x" out to the side and they disappear.

It WON'T change, that's how Chrome is set. :P I have to deal with it too, but it's helpful because I'm always forgetting links
