Will the ChromeBook allow for iTunes?

I'm going to college in the fall and I already have an iPhone and iPad. I'm torn between either getting the ChromeBook or the MacBookPro. Will the Chrome OS allow for iTunes download and generally a download of other apps? I noticed the OS is very similar to Linux in that it had specific apps that can only be used for it.Will the ChromeBook allow for iTunes?
You can use google music to share your itunes library oon the web and access your music that way. You have to request access to the music beta though. Check out this for details:

While yes the OS is based on Linux it's also a web based OS. The way I understand ChromeOS is that there will be no desktop applications. All the apps for it will be cloud based. So if iTunes has something like that then yeah it'll work. Will the ChromeBook allow for iTunes?
