There's allot of speculation about what Google's Chrome OS is going to mean to windows, the death of windows etc, but I've read no comment at all about the implications for Mac.
Up till now if you've thought computer you've thought PC or Mac, pretty much. If the advent of Chrome ushers in a new age, an age of the cloud, solid state drives, web apps and all the rest, don't the old PC v's mac arguments get allot more complicated? Or redundant?
The aguments that each side claims as their own, wont Chrome be looking to mop all of these up? Already they are claiming far faster operating times than Mac, they'll be far more apps than PC, costs'll be low, it'll be ultra secure... Maybe this is a third way...maybe more? What will Chrome mean for Mac?
Chrome OS is just another browser It's touting the idea of "cloud computing" which can be done with any browser out there
Anything you do online is cloud computingWhat will Chrome mean for Mac?
i dont think that chrome is going to do much to the pc mac market. the problem with the chrome os is that its bassically running like a phone on a pc which many people will not like but there are people out there that do enjoy smartphones so much they would be right at home with the chrome os. and the reason chrome is so fast is because it is basically running a smart phone OS on a full computer
