Does Google Chrome Web Apps Mean the death of SAAS companies like Salesforce, Netsuite, Zoho..what u think?

...Google is coming up with an app store that will sell Business apps etc, so does this mean that eventually people and organization wont be using independent vendors like Salesforce... is google going to dominate in that sector to, what do you think?|||I doubt it.

SaaS, Cloud, etc. have been around for quite some time. It's nothing new.|||No. At least not in the near future. I do support for Microsoft's SharePoint, and Chrome tried to enter that market, but quickly gave up in an epic fail. Getting businesses to change what they have been doing is not an easy task. We have some customers that refuse to upgrade certain software because it's not compatible with some garbage they use that was designed in the 80's, if not before.

That's why companies like Microsoft, or Salesforce, don't really care who looks good in the Public or the Media's eyes... Google %26amp; Apple are great examples of that. From an End User (consumer) point of view, they appear to be awesome companies that will take over the world. But neither Google nor Apple have managed to penetrate the business market. And let's face it, that's where the money is at. That also explains why Microsoft doesn't seem to care about end users, and doesn't offer free support. They know that they own the business world... and if you use Windows/Office at work, you're probably going to use it at home.

Google might take some over some small businesses, at best, by offering a cheaper or easier option. But the big players of the world will most likely stick with what they are working with right now. Maybe in 20 years they'll re-think the status quo, but I guarantee you companies like Salesforce will have put up a serious fight by then.
